Amy Shaw is Development Manager and Senior Writer at Millennium Promise. Previously, Amy worked as an independent writer, editor, and researcher with clients including the Earth Institute at Columbia University, the International Center for Transitional Justice, and the Open Society Institute. She served for two years as the research assistant to an anthropologist studying garbage in New York City. Amy also has many years experience working in the arts and humanities in roles ranging from grant writer to gallery director.

Amy holds an M.A. from New York University's Draper Interdisciplinary Master's Program in Humanities and Social Thought, and a B.A. with honors in International Affairs from The George Washington University. Originally from New Hampshire, she lives with her husband in Brooklyn, NY.
