Bala Yusuf Yunusa joined the Pampaida Millennium Villages Project, Nigeria in March 2007 as a Project Officer. He later became the Operations Manager in June 2008 and now doubles as the Team Leader since February 2009. Prior to joining the Millennium Villages Project, Mr. Yunusa has spent seven (7) years in the Nigeria Banking sub-sector – where he rose to the level of a Relationship Manager and Team Leader in Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank). While in the Bank, he worked in the Investment, Enterprise and Public sector business development units and helped in the development of various clients’ specific products and services. In 2002, Mr. Yunusa was a member of the team that helped pioneered the Bank’s entrance into the Nigerian retail market. Between 1999 and 2000, he had a short stint in Development field with the Shell Petroleum Development Company, where he worked as a Community Development Projects Assistant – working with Oil Producing communities to identify and prioritize needs/projects and their subsequent tripartite implementation.

Mr. Yunusa has a Master’s Degree in Development Finance from The University of Manchester, UK and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He is a member of the British Chevening Alumni.
