TABLE FOR TWO American Launch Event at Columbia University

- May 3^rd Catered Dinner to Feature Celebrity Chefs, Notable Development Experts -

New York, NY, April 27, 2010 — More than 300 Columbia University students, faculty, administration, and corporate partners are expected to turn out to the American Launch of the Japanese-based Millennium Promise partner organization, TABLE FOR TWO (TFT). The event will consist of a catered dinner designed by special celebrity guest, Cat Cora, the first woman chef to star on Iron Chef America. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University, will be addressing the attendees as the evening’s keynote speaker.

This initiative has been widely successful in Japan since 2007, partnering with over 250 corporations, academic institutions, restaurants and retailers. Columbia University commemorates the first premier American launch of TFT on the East Coast.

Founded in 2007 by Masa Kogure, TABLE FOR TWO (TFT) has spread throughout college campuses, corporate institutions, restaurants and retail stores within Japan and is now has over 250 major partners. The aim is two-fold: alleviate the obesity crisis within developed nations by providing healthy food options with pre-existing food vendors; and, donate 20 cents of every sold TFT meal to sponsor a meal for a child in Africa.

Media Preset: 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (All equipment must be dropped at the site by 6:30 PM and prepared by 7:00 PM)

Live Truck Parking: Trucks should enter the entrance off Broadway and West 116^th Street along College Walk Drive and will be directed on site. All live trucks must RSVP with vehicle information. Trucks must plan to park by 6:30 PM. Live truck operators must bring cable ramps.
